Open call to support independent musicians

This is your opportunity to take part in the international exchange project, mutually organized by 4 European music venues.       

The organizers are looking for artists, which meet the following criteria: 

• They are from one of the 4 target countries: Ukraine, Poland, Netherlands or Belgium.
• Will have an upcoming release/project in summer-autumn 2021 and are interested in additional media exposure and international contacts.
• Have an interest to work with the partnering music clubs (Mezzanine from Ukraine, Firlej from Poland, Podium Asteriks from the Netherlands, and the Belvedere Namur from Belgium) in the future or have played there before.
• Represent any popular music genre (e.g. non-classical): electronics, pop, rock, etc. and ready to develop exclusive live-set to premiere in a project’s framework.

Participation is free of charge. In terms of selection, the organizers will take into consideration cultural, racial and gender diversity, the artist motivation to work internationally and the quality of music content.

12 best artists and bands (3 per each country) will be invited for the recording of live-set and a series of interviews in their countries in July 2021. Each selected artist (band) will get a moderate artist fee to cover logistic and administrative expenses during the recordings. Starting from September 2021 during a 12-weeks marathon all these live-videos will be weekly premiered in all 4 countries. 

SELECTION PROCESS

• Applications can be submitted during the timeframe: 5th May - 30th May 2021 inclusively
• All applications will be reviewed by the representative of 4 partnering music clubs to chose 12 approved artists (bands) for the project
• All approved applicants will get the notification letter not later than 5th June 2021
• All application shall confirm that they are available for the recording in July 2021 in the cities, where the partnering clubs are situated (Ukrainian applicants in Kyiv, Polish applicants in Wrocław, Belgian applicants - in Namur, Dutch - in Leeuwarden respectively). 

WHAT THE SELECTED ARTISTS WILL GET? 

• A recording of their live video, which will be premiered during autumn 2021
• Promo in 4 countries simultaneously
• A booking offer from the partnering music venues when the concerts are possible 
• A moderate artists fee to cover logistic and administrative expenses during the recording

HOW TO APPLY?

• Register your account (as a user): Sign up as a new user (via the upper right corner of the page)
• Register your artists/ band profile in the system (via “Add your project” function -> Artist) until 30th May inclusively
• Wait until 5th June for the selection results.
